*** Scrutiny refers Executive Decision back for reconsideration! ***

On Thursday 10 July, the Council's Scrutiny Committee voted on three grounds to refer last Thursday's Executive decision back to the Executive for re-consideration. The grounds for call-in were:

•   Failure to properly consider Government / Defra Guidance in relation to Village Green usage;

•   Failure to consider the impact on biodiversity, green infrastructure and the woodland corridor through the development of 20% of the field;

•   Failure to consider the aims of the draft Local Plan with respect to biodiversity.

The Executive will now have to reconsider its decision to sell off 20% of the field at its next meeting on Thursday 11 September.
