The Football Season resumes on Kingsmead Field!

For nearly half a century, Kingsmead's sense of place was defined by sporting activities.   Kingsmead Stadium was home to Canterbury City Football Club, athletics and speedway. Kingsmead Field was home to Canterbury City Hockey Club and to a number of football and cricket teams. The stadium site has now been built on, but Kingsmead Field remains and provides a valuable location for informal recreation and sport.
