Thank you to everyone who helped with the installation of the benches on Kingsmead Field yesterday

We are very grateful to everyone who joined us yesterday for the installation of three wooden benches on the riverside of Kingsmead Field.  These benches are one of the first enhancements of the field in over a decade.

We would like to express particular thanks to KCC Councillor Graham Gibbens who funded the benches, to CCC Councillor Ashley Clark who made the benches and to local resident, Georgina Appleton, who won our 'Name the Benches' Competition.  The winning inscriptions on the three benches are:

'Our field at rest', 'Our field at play' and 'Our field always'.
