WE'RE INSTALLING THREE NEW BENCHES TODAY ON THE RIVERBANK!

We are installing three new benches on the riverbank of Kingsmead Field this morning from 10.30 to 12 noon. Come along and lend a hand or drop by for a coffee and cake! This is one of the very first enhancements to the field for over a decade. We hope that it will be followed by many more!

Look out for the inscriptions on the benches.  These were the winning entries in our 'Name the Benches' competition: 'Our Field at Rest; Our Field at Play; Our Field Always'.  Congratulations to Georgina for suggesting these inscriptions.  And thank you to Cllr Graham Gibbens for funding the benches and to Cllr Ashley Clark and the Friends of Duncan Down in Whitstable for making them. A great team effort, all-round!
