Presentation of Village Green Application

The Village Green application for Kingsmead Field was submitted to Councillor Graham Gibbens at Kent County Council on today, along with 335 completed questionnaires.

Councillor Gibbens welcomed the application and said: "In the Kingsmead area, there is a shortage of green space for leisure and recreation.  We need to ensure that a balance is maintained between open space and development.  The Village Green application is evidence of the many people who have used Kingsmead Field in the past and want to continue to exercise this right.  I want to ensure that the people I represent have that opportunity".

Due to the current backlog in applications, it will take approximately six months before the Kingsmead Field application is considered.
