Executive votes again to sell off the field...

At its meeting last night the Executive of Canterbury City Council confirmed its decision to sell off Kingsmead Field for housing. This decision is deeply unpopular with the local community and highly contentious. Not one of the Executive members voting on this issue represents Canterbury.

Even at this stage, all is not lost for the field. The Village Green application for Kingsmead Field will be processed by Kent County Council in the New Year, and still offers potential hope.
